A local restaurant in Staten Island, NY contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems to fix the sinking sidewalk slabs around the building. Sinking sidewalks create tripping hazards for customers and to prevent anyone from getting injured, the business wanted the problem addressed right away. Quality 1st was able to remove the tripping hazard by pumping PolyLevel underneath the slabs. Once the foam solution is underneath, it begins to expand and harden raising the sinking slab back to its desired level.
A crawl space in Staten Island, New York was moist and humid and the homeowners wanted to encapsulate it. Our System Design Specialist inspected the crawl space and wanted to install an encapsulation system.
First, Drainage Matting was installed on the crawl space floors to provide a channel for the water to be directed to the perimeter drain. The matting has raised dimples to ensure the water does not get trapped on the crawl space floor. SilverGlo was installed on the crawl space walls to reflect heat back into the crawl space for ultimate energy savings.
SilverGlo keeps the cold out and the heat in. CleanSpace was installed on the crawl space walls and floors to seal off the crawl space, hold back water vapor and humidity. CleanSpace is a durable bright white liner that will not rip or tear making it perfect for storage. EverLast Doors were installed on the crawl space windows to seal off the crawl space, keep pests, cold air and heat out. This crawl space is encapsulated and can be used for storage.
This crawl space had water coming in through the walls. The homeowners had discussed the problem with their friends who had work done by Quality 1st Basement Systems the year prior and recommended giving us a call. CleanSpace Vapor Barrier was installed along the walls to prevent water from getting into the crawl space and making it a healthy, dry environment.
A new homeowner in Staten Island, New York had water in their basement and contacted Quality 1st for a solution. Our System Design Specialist went to inspect the basement and noticed the signs of water and recommended a waterproofing system be installed. WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement and underneath the floor slab to make sure the system does not clog. WaterGuard collects the water that seeps in through the basement walls and floors and directs it to the sump pump. The SuperSump sump pump was installed in the basement to keep it dry for extended periods of time, even during heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump is capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour out of an 8-foot head out of the basement. This system is perfect for occasional water issues, but nothing severe.
This Staten Island homeowner faced puddles in his basement after a heavy storm. He would get water in his basement after heavy rains, so he contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for options on waterproofing his basement. Our System Design Specialist recommended the WaterGuard (full perimeter basement waterproofing system), TripleSafe Sump Pump (the best sump on the market, including a battery backup for power outages!), and BrightWall panels to further waterproof and brighten this basement space which is now completely dry!
