When Ken from Quality 1st Basement Systems came to the job, he impressed me with what he knew, so I thought I would give him a shot at it. We are actually in construction ourselves, and we were going to do the job ourselves too, as we're normally not impressed with other contractors. Besides, we had a lot of work to do in the house already, so we just got it ready for them to do it instead. When they came, he and his workers were excellent. They worked really fast, and did a good job, as well or better than I expected, and I don't say that about many people.

The is one question, I talked to Jessica that I would like use my sump pump since I just bough for $400 and it was good and running, However, I found that it was change to a smaller pump, I understand that. but there is problem comes, this sump pump runs every 5 mins. The barrel was around 10 feet, pump runs when water in 3 or 4 feets. If the pump can be adjusted to run by 7 or 8 feets water will be perfect.

I've had work crews come over and make a mess that I spent days (weeks) cleaning up. Quality 1st Basement Systems wasn't like that at all. They showed up on time, did a great job in the timeframe they had originally promised and left my basement clean and usable. They hauled away the trash as well. So far so good! I'm very pleased with the results.

Warm Basement Flooring in East Elmhurst, Queens NY

Cheryl W. always had water coming into her East Elmhurst finished basemnet, but she thought nothing of it. Her basement floor was always cold and damp, and the space was uncomfortable. Her family was concerned and recommended she call Quality 1st Basement Systems for a free estimate on basement waterproofing. Basement specialist Kenny Tramutola came out to Cheryl's home and found signs of water damage on the basement floor. He suggested an internal basement drain, a sump pump, and waterproof basement flooring to keep the room dry and safe.

Quality 1st Basement Systems installed a WaterGuard basement drain. The WaterGuard is an internal drainage system that will not clog with outdoor mud, dirt, tree roots and other debris. After installation, it is covered with a layer of concrete to hide it from view. Cheryl loved the WaterGuard because it was invisible after installation. Then, the team installed an UltraSump sump pump so that the water could be pumped safely out of the home. The UltraSump sump pump is quiet but has a heavy duty motor and an airtight seal to keep out odors.

To replace the water damaged floors, Quality 1st Basement Systems installed ThermalDry waterproof flooring. ThermalDry basement flooring is made out of 100% waterproof materials. The tiling system makes installation easy, and cleaning is a breeze. Each piece can be removed to be wiped down or replaced.
