Homeowner had sagging beams in the basement of their Jamaica, NY home which brought serious concern to the owner and his family. They contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems who sent System Design Specialist, Ken Peare, out to inspect the basement and discuss the solution Quality 1st could provide them.
The Quality 1st crew installed SmartJacks under the sinking beams which lifts the beams back to the original state, stabilizing them and preventing future damage. ZenWall insulated panels were installed to give the basement a more finished look! ThermalDry flooring was installed on the floors to make the basement floor more comfortable to stand but also keeps it warmer due to the pegs underneath preventing the flooring from laying directly on the cold concrete floor. This Waterproof and mold resistant flooring is great for any basement floor and is highly recommended when the basement is not completely finished.
Now the family can finally use and enjoy their basement without worrying about cold feet and sagging beams.
The weakest spots in a foundation are in areas where its open such as windows and doorways. When cracks form in one of these areas, its a sign your foundation is shifting and settling. In this homeowners situation we recommended a PowerBrace System to stabilization.
This homeowner purchased a new home in Forest Hills, Queens and had water in the basement. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed a WaterGuard drainage system in order to drain the water. The WaterGuard drainage system is guaranteed never to clog with its patented design. A new TripleSafe sump pump will now pump the water away from the basement with its three pump system. The TripleSafe sump pump has a battery backup which will turn on in case the power fails during a storm. CleanSpace liner was installed around the basement walls in order to keep water vapor out, and dry air in. CleanSpace keeps the relative humidity of basements low with its durable plastic lining that will never rip. Now this basement is ready for all weather and will stay dry and safe.
