PolyLevel® Concrete Leveling in Brooklyn, Bronx & Surrounding New York City Areas

Fast, affordable concrete lifting & slab leveling solution

PolyLevel® is a state-of-the-art technique for raising sunken concrete slabs, such as walkways, driveways, patios, pool decks, garage aprons, and basement slabs. PolyLevel takes the original concept of mudjacking (slabjacking) and combines it with advanced knowledge and modern technology. Rather than using a mixture of concrete and mud, PolyLevel® utilizes high-density, expanding polyurethane foam to raise slabs, fill voids and strengthen weak soil. Quality 1st Basement Systems is your certified PolyLevel® concrete leveling contractor.

We use PolyLevel® for a variety of applications:

  • Lift settled slabs and slab foundations
  • Lift and level sunken sidewalks
  • Strengthen and stabilize loose soil
  • Fill sinkholes and other voids
  • Lift, level and stabilize roadways and airport runways
  • Repair and stabilize rail beds weakened by soil washouts
  • Treat soil to improve load-bearing characteristics in preconstruction applications

Benefits of our PolyLevel® concrete lifting process:

  • Strong, yet lightweight. PolyLevel® can offer greater lifting power than mudjacking, yet weighs only about 4lbs. per cubic ft., compared to 120lbs. per cubic ft. for standard fill material. PolyLevel® does not impose added weight on unstable soil, but can still support a substantial load.
  • Waterproof. PolyLevel will not wash away once it is cured.
  • Environmentally-friendly. The PolyLevel® two-part foam does not react with soil and does not release harmful chemicals.
  • Fast acting. The expanding polymer reaches its final strength and is ready to support weight within 15 minutes, as opposed to mudjacking which takes an entire day.
  • Adjustable. The chemical reaction that causes the foam to expand can be adjusted to control how much the concrete is lifted.
  • Noninvasive. PolyLevel® equipment is less bulky and our injection foam is less messy than traditional mudjacking techniques.

PolyLevel® offers a superior concrete repair alternative to mudjacking

The traditional method of raising settled concrete involves pumping a liquid mortar beneath the settled slab,  however, there are several problems with this technique. First, the pumping process can be hard to control. Second, the heavy material used in mudjacking can add additional weight to the already weak soil.

PolyLevel® overcomes many of the challenges of traditional slabjacking. During the PolyLevel® process, the special two-part expanding foam is injected beneath the settled slab. Within a matter of minutes, the expanded polymer hardens and reaches 90% or more of its final strength. This makes it possible for the restored surface to regain full functionality right away.

The PolyLevel® Process

Step 1 of PolyLevel® concrete repair

Step 1: Small 5/8-in. holes are bored through the sunken slab.

Step 2 of PolyLevel® concrete lifting

Step 2: An injector port is installed in each hole.

Step 3 of PolyLevel® concrete leveling

Step 3: High-density foam is injected into the port, whereupon it expands and lifts the slab.

Step 4 of PolyLevel® injection foam installation

Step 4: With the port removed, the holes are cleaned and patched with cement.
