Waterproof Wall Panels finish Brooklyn Basement

Challenge

A Brooklyn homeowner wanted his basement finished so that it could be used as an additional living space. He had some issues with his old sump pump not properly draining water from the basement and ended up flooding the area. He wanted the problem fixed before moving his personal belongings into the basement.

Solution

Quality 1st Basement Systems had the waterproofing answers for this wet basement. The Quality 1st Basement Systems crew removed the old sump pump and installed a TripleSafe sump pump, which comes complete with a back-up battery to ensure the system will not fail. A WaterGuard was also installed to drain away from the home’s foundation and prevent leakage back into the basement.

The Quality 1st Basement Systems team then installed full length EverLast Wall Panels, which are pre-finished and made of vinyl. This means that the panels are waterproof and the non-organic material prevents mold growth. They are extremely durable, so won't dent or scratch like drywall.
